Mount Olympus, is a world featured in Greek Mythology. It first appears in 700 B.C. in Hesiod's Greek myth story.
Mount Olympus is the world where the Olympian gods live. Lots of gods and goddesses (not including the main 12 olympians) lived there as well. They were the minor gods and goddesses that were least important. Helios did not technically reside in Mount Olympus, but instead he resided in the sky. Farther than Mount Olympus because there was sunshine from Helios on Mount Olympus, that's how it got the name bright.
Zeus' demigod son, Hercules, went on to complete twelve out of twelve labors in a quest to gain access to this world and finally join his father. When he succeeded, he moved on to Mount Olympus, where he met Hebe and married her.
Some exceptions (that are not gods/goddesses) that have resided on Mount Olympus [formerly] can be Ixion, the king of Lapiths, who Zeus took pity on and brought him to Mount Olympus, but he grew lustful for Zeus' wife, Hera and Zeus banished him to Tartarus, which is down in the underworld and he was bind to a winged fiery wheel by Hermes that was always spinning.
